This research is being carried out by Dylan Bryans, tutor and research assistant, and Aoife Ní Ghloinn, Director of the Centre for Irish Language, Maynooth University. The research is funded by the Centre for Irish Language. The aim of this questionnaire is to investigate the use of Vifax online learning materials for Irish (see https://vifax.maynoothuniversity.ie/).

The information collected will be used to make recommendations on how Vifax can be further developed. This research proposal has been by reviewed by, and received ethical approval from, the Maynooth University Ethics Committee.

Please note the following:

  • Participation in this questionnaire is voluntary. You are under no obligation whatsoever to take part.
  • You must be over the age of 18 to take part in this questionnaire. 
  • The questionnaire is anonymous. You do not need to supply your name or any personal details in order to fill in the questionnaire.

Participants may choose to enter a draw for a €100 One-for-All voucher. Should you wish to enter the draw you will be given the option to enter your email address.

Note: Your email address will only be used to notify you if you have won the voucher. The email list will the be destroyed, once the draw is complete. Note: Any information that is collected during the course of the research will be confidential. No names will be identified at any time. All information will be held securely and will be accessed only by the researchers working on the project. No information will be distributed to any unauthorized individual or third party. It must be recognised that, in some circumstances, confidentiality of research data and records may be overridden by courts in the event of litigation or in the course of investigation by lawful authority. In such circumstances the University will take all reasonable steps within the law to ensure that confidentiality is maintained to the greatest possible extent.
